2. Accommodation
Week ends Option 1:
R100 per night per person.
Use can be made of all facilities
Meals may be prepared in fully equipped kitchen.
Week ends Option 2:
R250 per night per person, which includes 3 meals & the supply of cutlery.
A menu is available on request.
Families pay full price for the first 3 members and thereafter R60-00 p.p. (Must be immediate family members)
Week days:
R60-00 per person per night.
Camp Grace:
(14 units available & can sleep 6-8 people).
R300 per chalet per night (for families up to 6 members).
Day Visitors:
R25-00 per person.
You may make use all the facilities.
Children under 2 years old do not pay.
Bring your own:
Bedding, toiletries, cutlery, liquid soap, dish cloths, black bags and whatever needed to make a fire.
Minimum Reservation:
80 persons- bottom (Camp Blessing) - 120 people
50 persons- top site (Camp Grace) - 80 people
160 persons for entire campsite.
Extra Information:
Bedding can be supplied at R20-00 per night.
There are 2 separate campsites, each with its own kitchen, hall and ablution facilities.
A tuck shop is available.
2. Conditions for Reservations
- R1000-00 is payable to ensure reservation. The balance of 50% of the reservation must be paid one month before the camp.
- The rest must be paid before arrival at the camp.
- There is an additional R500-00 charged as a deposit for any breakages.
- This will be deposited in your bank account within 14 working days if nothing is broken.
- The reservation form must be returned when the R1000-00 deposit is paid unless already completed online.
- The number of people booked on the reservation form, is the minimum amount you pay. (Unless the no of people is changed at least 1 month before the camp)
- Deposits must be paid directly into our bank account.
- Fax the deposit slip with completed reservation form to us.
Cancellation:
- 3 months before camp 10% handling charges
- 1 month & shorter 50% handling charge
- 2 weeks before the camp 75% handling charges
- 1 week before the camp 100% handling charge
3. Camp Rules
- Lights Out :Fridays and Saturdays 23:00
- Sundays to Thursday 22:00
- Please leave the facilities in the condition you found them.
- Report any breakages to the camp manager.
- Beds may not be moved around or mattresses removed from the beds.
- Please use water and electricity sparingly.
- No candles or open flames in sleeping quarters.
- No eating or drinking allowed in chalets/rooms.
- No ball games inside the buildings.
* If the camp rules are not adhered to, bergkroon faith centre has the right to terminate the camp or ask the offender(s) to leave.
4. Safety and general information
- The organizers of the camp (church,schools etc) are responsible for the conveying & maintaining of safety precautions and discipline in the camp.
- Swimming is only allowed under adult supervision and during approved times.
- Swimming at night (after 19h00) is prohibited.
- The medical care of campers is completely the responsibility of the organizers.
- Irresponsibility and disrespectful conduct of campers will not be tolerated
- The necessary rules and regulations will be conveyed to the camp organizer at the start of the camp.
- A medical aid box with a snake anti-venum kit is available at the office.
- Signed Indemnity forms must be handed to security when you arrive at the entrance of Bergkroon.
- Without a signed indemnity form you will not be allowed to enter the premises.
- You will however be able to sign an indemnity form at the gate.
- As per any farm/rural area there is a danger of snakes, scorpions & spiders.
- Please stay on paths and away from bushy areas
